This valet box is in quartersawn makore with a dark blue velvet lining. This piece is offered for sale for $940 as-built, or can be fitted out with interior dividers to suit your needs for additional cost.

While I greatly prefer to avoid working with imported or exotic woods, the wood for this piece came from a selection of shorts that were surplus from another woodworker. I am unlikely to build another example in makore unless faithfully reproducing a period piece.
